Aging like fine wine, since 1998.

OnsiteIT has been supporting local businesses for nearly three decades.

For around 28 years, we’ve helped organisations across Essex, Suffolk, Norfolk and beyond keep their IT running smoothly – from small day-to-day fixes to long-term strategic support. Over the years, technology has changed massively, but our approach hasn’t: clear advice, dependable service, and being there when our clients need us.

We’ve grown alongside the businesses we support, building long-term relationships rather than short-term contracts. Many of our clients have been with us for years, and that trust is something we don’t take lightly.

Our ethos.

In 2023, the business was re-branded to OnsiteIT, with Matthew Underwood taking over as Managing Director and owner.

Having worked in IT since leaving college, Matthew saw first-hand how many businesses were being priced out of quality support, or locked into rigid MSP contracts that didn’t truly put service first.

OnsiteIT was shaped around a simple idea: affordable managed IT that doesn’t compromise on service.

That focus has paid off. In the last three years alone, the business has experienced more growth than in the previous 28 years combined – driven by word of mouth, long-standing client relationships, and a reputation for doing things properly.

Meet the people who make OnsiteIT...

  • Matthew Underwood

Matthew took over as Managing Director & Owner in May 2023, having joined Onsite in 2020. He continues to be hands-on across the business, supporting the team day to day and playing an active role in new client onboardings to ensure everything runs smoothly from the outset.

He’s also known for being the office pool champion – and yes, he will mention it if given the chance.

  • Kian McGuinness

Kian is our Lead Network & Systems Engineer, having joined the Onsite team in April 2023. He has quickly become a familiar face to many of our customers. Since joining, he’s gone from strength to strength, building a reputation for calm, reliable support.

Whether he’s remotely troubleshooting stubborn PCs or on-site resolving complex network-level issues, you can be confident you’re in safe hands.

He’s also the office chess champion — strategy clearly isn’t just limited to networks.

  • Deborah Gotelee

As our Customer Account Manager, Deborah is at the heart of the customer experience. She makes sure our clients are receiving the best possible service levels and that everything is running smoothly from their side.

Deborah also manages client onboardings and orders, keeping everything organised and on track behind the scenes.

Legend also has it she makes the best espressos in Colchester — a claim few in the office are willing to dispute.

  • Sofia Gama

As Executive Director and co-owner of OnsiteIT, Sofia is central to shaping the strategic direction of the business and ensuring it continues to grow the right way. She works closely with Matthew on decision-making, planning, and keeping the operation running like clockwork.

A natural organiser and steady presence, Sofia brings clarity and calm to even the busiest days. As a qualified teacher with a Master’s degree in Psychology, she really is the smartest of the bunch.

  • Hayden Worrall

Hayden is our Junior Network & Systems Engineer and is currently training towards his Level 4 qualification and CompTIA A+ certification. He plays a key role in handling first-line support issues, helping customers with day-to-day IT problems and ensuring issues are resolved quickly or escalated appropriately.

He’s also the office darts champion — proof that his aim is just as good off the network as it is on it.

  • Bruce

Bruce’s title says it all. As our CFO (Chief Fun Officer), he makes sure the office never takes itself too seriously and keeps the engineers on their toes — not least because he has a habit of trying to steal their lunches.

He’s not quite ready to jump on the helpdesk just yet, but we’re working on it.
